Have you seen my.....

.... glasses.

I have a pair of half cut reading glasses by the bed so I can read in bed.

Last Monday I stripped the bed and put clean sheets and duvet cover on. Since then we have searched everywhere for the glasses which have gone missing. I've removed the mattress and looked under, been through the washed sheets and looked in the washing machine. There is nothing in the bedroom that can have fallen under.

I really don't like mysteries, so has anyone seen them?

On your head?

Are they the glasses you use for reading when you're half cut Norm? Wait 'til you're sober and then look!

Where did u last have them? :)

In the pillow case?

They've fallen into your turnups Norm.

Actually, I don't think we've looked in the pillow cases.

Sooty, your showing your age. Our younger members are probably trying to work out what "turnups" are.

I had a feel and there not on my head. They were last on my bedside cabinet. Or maybe, if I fell asleep reading, which is common, on the top of the bed. I wasn't even a quarter cut.

I'll go and find the pillow cases and have a feel/look.

Many thanks, back soon

next to your chair

No, looked on and around the chair.

I'm using an old pair, prescription before current so not in desperation. Only want to solve the mystery. Anyone know Poirot's phone number, I understand he needs a case.

Doctors office or emergency, you spend a lot of time there....

No, checked there this week. Had an appointment with the cardiologist. Did 15 minutes on the exercise bike wired up to a computer. Nice nurse was taking my BP every few minutes. He was happy but told me to double up on one of the pills. When we got back, HM decide to look up what this pill is. She not only finds what it does but also finds a forum for people who take it. (Is there anything there isn't a forum for!). She starts reading me posts about how many suffer side affects of exhaustion and sleepless nights. I suffer with both. She also says some complain about pains in their arms, my right arm has been hurting since I doubled the dose. So, plan is to carry on with the double dose for two weeks and then stop taking it for a week and see if the tiredness and sleepless nights stop.

Back to the missing glasses, they're not in the pillow cases.

Shed, garage, barn....

No, No, they never leave my bedside. They are kept on the bedside cabinet and are only used for reading in bed. They were there as I was reading before I got up. I stripped the bed. In the afternoon I made the bed. When we went to bed the glasses weren't there.

As I said, a mystery.

Did you get up and go to the loo during the night? Stuck in the spine of a book or magazine your were reading?

Posted

No, if they got stuck in the book I'm currently reading they'd be crushed. I find it difficult to hold it's that big and heavy. The book that is.

I always take them off when I get out of bed. Anyway I've cleaned the bathroom and the bedroom (HM has a bad back so it falls to me at the moment). I wanted to wait until the roof work was finished. Wayne will make a mess again when he installs the two Velux windows in the North facing roof. I'm looking forward to laying in bed on a clear night looking up at the stars.
