What about "Springtime for Hitler"?

+2 but it was called The Producers.  Loved that saw it twice.  Loved Jersey Boys.  Was fairly indifferent to Miss Saigon, Starlight Express, Mamma Mia and Spamalot - all enjoyable but not memorable.

My one and only favourite, the film version,  South Pacific.   The song "There is nothing like a dame" gets me every time. One of the sailor singers Stew Pot  has the deepest bass voice I've ever heard in my life.

Wife and daughter are off to see West Side Story this coming Saturday.

South Pacific, my favourite is "Happy Talk". The rest is OK but nothing special.

HM has Funny Girl in her car CD. I smile every time I move the car. Then have the song that's playing going round my head for the rest of the day.

We have seen quite a few recently, Billy Elliot was good no great songs but the story and the dancing excellent. One I was not expecting to be good was Wicked, a fantastic paced story with great songs and a wonderful cast.

It would be nice if in real life instead of arguing and fighting the whole world sprang into song. Instead of wars we had a damm good sing song.

Cannot disagree with that Jeff.

I'll admit to having a juvenile sense of humour and liking Avenue Q.

Featuring puppets and NSFW tracks such as "The Internet is for Porn":

what's not to like...?

I grew up with a mother who sang opera in shows so I had no choice but to go and see them. South Pacific, Calamity Jane, West Side Story, Sound of Music and many more. She also sang more serious stuff like Puccini and Motzart which I could listen to now, but not back then.
