Terry's post seems to have been deleted, but suspect that might have been a reference to mine, Dave? If so: there's nothing secret about the road network, but there are a few gems of roads out there that take a bit of finding. There are also all sorts of issues for both motorists and local residents that come to the fore when these become too popular and/or abused - something that is compounded by the fact that we live in an age in which tolerance for cars being driven purely for the enjoyment of driving seems to be reducing. When you read some of the stories about the likes of the Evo Triangle (near misses, speed traps at prime overtaking spots, people running without number plates, etc), that have been brought about in part by it being a "known" route that seems to now attract an undesirable element, it sometimes make sense to be a little circumspect... 2 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

We all drove very quietly through a village but one old boy was standing outside his house waving his fist at us. I stopped and beckoned him towards the car. He came over scowling and shouting about us disturbing his peace and quiet. In fact he was making more noise than the cars. When he was near I cupped my hand to my ear and said I couldn't hear him. Terry Well I think it was a good call to post it. I feel the run out / route area would need to be members only. & can understand the need for the official side to check all the angles.
