  1. Past hour
  2. It seems bonkers that you can buy an epic Westy like this and have enough money left over to also buy a lovely baby Aston to keep it company, for less than the price of even the cheapest new Westy! This is amazing value for money. Good luck with the sale

Ive had many parts from ash! Quality carbon! The guy knows his stuff!
  6. They are unbelievable fun..and also very nice to drive, the power is almost instant even at low revs…..yes, it’s basically the same engine all be it slightly more bhp. Typically TVR ‘over egged’ their power claims!…

    Westfield Seight, V8, 2022 registered -

I've never been in a V8 Westie, in fact I don't think I've ever seen or heard one running, I bet they are great fun! Is this basically the same 4.0 V8 they put in TVR Chimaeras and Griffiths?
  9. Flying Carrot Steve

    Chris broster ?

I can message him a reminder direct if you like Ash?
  10. I couldn't find a 'bravery' icon to 'like' your post with! 🤞

Show us how far your 30th Westfield Shirt has travelled !

Enjoy it @Paul Hurdsfield - Joint Manchester AO, if we get 40th anniversary shirts all records are erased and you’ll have to start all over again with the new shirt! 😂

Show us how far your 30th Westfield Shirt has travelled !

Today we set out on a road trip, en route we stumbled across this place, so continuing my pilgrimage to motorsport venues across the world here goes😎

A road trip in New Zealand

We picked up our hire car this morning and headed north, En route i spotted signs for this place, it wasn’t planned honest 😉 it was 30$ each to get in Margaret wasn’t really interested (she’s followed me round loads of car museums) so I said I’ll go in you wait out there in the sun I’ll only be 5 minutes, the young lady at the desk said it’s ok it’s free today, she must have taken pity on two little old folks😂 so in we went, Margaret lasted 5 mins, I lasted quite a bit longer.

  16. Do I need large fire extinguisher when I turn kill switch ON ? I’m not sure right now if was a smart idea to convert a simple, reliable operating track-only Westfield with just a few wires, no handbrake, no horn, no proper indicators, nobproper lights, fog reverse ligjts, etc.into a road-legal car… but I’m pushing ahead anyway

Welcome back @Richard.C it’s good to have a narrow back on the road - or at least soon to be back on the road! Make sure you start a rebuild thread and post up photos of your progress. Ask as many questions as you need to, we’re here to help! There’s a possibility of a club 40th anniversary parade lap for our Westfields next year at the Silverstone Festival in the summer, so a good incentive to get it done before then!

Mine had been off the road for 14 years and it's taken a fair bit to get it working properly again. I didn't do a full rebuild but it's taken a while. Great to hear another early car is back on here.

I've found from bitter experience that it's death to these projects to have them too far from your house.
  25. I just wanted to say hi, I have re-joined the club after being away for probably over 25 years. The good news is I still own my Westfield SE that I purchased 36 years ago, the bad news is it's been stood in a garage for around 23 years so is now in need of a full rebuild. Anyway pulled it out of the garage it was stored in and have relocated it close to my home, I need to find storage space for my other toy so I can get the Westy into the garage at home to start the rebuild. She's a 1988/1989 kit, narrow body SE with a 1600 xflow. I'm sure I'll be looking for some help along the way specifically locating parts or newer alternatives. Richard

Hi Al, apologies, this is in the post tomorrow. Sorry for the delay - life has been hectic!
  28. Steve72

Please help me to decide to buy a Westfield!

Thanks everybody for your comments, much appreciated. I didn't realise you could get different sized full screens, this may be part of the solution. Steve
