Met up with @RickRack who bought my old 15" wheels. Was great to catch up and am looking forward meeting his SEiGHT one day.

The nose cone on a SEiGHT is incredibly difficult to remove due to the cowling around the radiator, so to make life a little bit easier, I started to fabricate some brackets that hold the weight of the radiator, allowing me to use two hands to remove the nose cone.
I used two flat bar pieces and made a small indentation in the ends in which the cowling slots in. Also used some Hammerite on the chassis and brackets as it was showing signs of surface rust.

As promised earlier in the year, I wanted to get rid of the (imho) awful bars on the nose cone. First I needed to remove the peelable paint though, and after soaking a microfibre cloth in white spirit it was relatively (if not smelly!) easy task to get it back to before.
And then it was a simple case of attacking the bars with a cutting disc... no turning back now!

After a lot of sanding and creating purple dust, the bars and their remains are now nicely flat. To fill the holes I'm using Isopon P40.
