Man On The Clapham Omnibus Posted February 15, 2013 Share Posted February 15, 2013 I never had the privilege of meeting Bob, but we exchanged posts on here on a number of occasions over the years - we were of similar vintage to each other I think. He always came across as a man of not inconsiderable knowledge. Knowledge that he was always willing to share with others on the forum without a scintilla of one-upmanship, but with a genuine willingness to commune with fellow enthusiasts. I was unaware that Bob was unwell, let alone so seriously and this is a big shock. It underlines everyone's mortality that a man with so much wisdom and wit should be taken so cruelly. If anyone does want to come to the funeral then you are more then welcome and I will add the the date, location etc when it is confirmed.
