10 Graham - Brekkie group x2

11 Hassan

12 Jake (maybe)

13 Chaz (I might even take the hard top off the MX5)

14 Martin

15 Tolf - Brekkie/Group

16Dan (my eldest, in his classic Mini Cooper - if I can get him out of bed...) - Brekkie/Group

17 Pistol's Dad in MGB - Group (havent asked but executive decision)   ;)

18 Ben - Brekkie

I think there is enough for the group tickets at £8 each which includes refreshments, talk and tour, and then free wander afterwards. May I assume we will all go for this...? Please do let me know if you want the cheaper £6 option though.

Sorted for you.

  • 2 weeks later...

I've just noticed the Group/Tour booking is now £9.00 - gone up a pound since I last looked at their website - cheeky. I will be calling them again (season just opening for them) and will confirm our booking in a bit...

Sounds like a good day out, but surely it would be better to drive there than run? ???

Perhaps you should take a run or drive down here. We'll shown how proper planes were built this side of the pond. Oh hang on a mo, just wood and bit of ally wasn't it.

Latest Update.

We are all booked in for 11:30ish on the morning of Sunday 7th April 2013. This will give us plenty of time to gather at the Garden Centre Café for 10:00 and have breakfast, tea, coffee, etc. We should take the normal route into the Museum so watch yer undersides as it's not the best surface in the world and has speed bumps.

Once there we will be directed onto the Museum grounds where we can park up by the planes - the guys do this all the time so may well marshal us.

Then we have a cuppa & biccies, a talk and a tour and the rest of the day to wander at our leisure. We can physically get on/in most of the planes to rest our legs and chill out/ chat.

Only downer is that in 2013 it's now definitely £9.00 a head.

Bring cameras and sunshine...

You could always head out to the Essex start point if you fancy a drive out  ;)
