Andrew
There's a little bit of a write up and some pics here: http://www.seight.com/westf.html
Annie
...not long after it competed at the Silverstone round of the Brit GT championship...it was booted out - official statement was that it was not a true GT car with doors etc... Mark, Seems a bit hard to understand when at least two Caterhams took part in GT3 in the same race, or did they receive the same treatment? Grannie Annie. Mark Stanton
Harsh yes perhaps - the caterhams were not any threat to the big players and were not beating them in same manner as the Westfield - It is the way the Brit GT Championship worked then and has done since - as with most championships a team enters and signs up to the rules and regs - if that team has been deemed by the organisers to have "broken" those rules then so be it - it is simply a commercial decision. Burlers
Good write up that from Team Pugwash Andrew, some excellent captions "Large Toilet Rolls Are Presumably Needed By The Westfield Drivers" & quotes "Being a quiet car, it would have passed if tested"

mark.anson
What it needs Kurt is a sensible but quick driver to take it to a few events with For Sale emblazoned on the side. Best advert you could get Seriously folks i had the privelidge to drive the Flymo at TyCroes last year. Superb machine and still very competative against much more expensive machinery. Martin Keene
That's not a bad idea Mark. I had the pleasure of watching race at Silverstone in 1996, same day Hill won the championship, and the had the pleasure of a ride at Curborough when John owned it. Epic car. stephenh
Very sad that such a car is worth so much more in bits than it is as a whole. It has quite a history in the Speed Series, and as already mentioned, elsewhere before that.

Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) - Club Chairman
Yes. So much car, with so much development, for so little money. Genuine history and back-story too, you know a cars a corker when it ends up with it's own nickname and is as well known as its owners.
