windy Posted July 8, 2003 Share Posted July 8, 2003 "Classics on the Common" will be taking place tomorrow evening (Wednesday) on Harpenden common, Hertfordshire. It is a free entry event open to all classic cars pre 1975 and Kit cars. The local pub, The Carpenters Arms are organising it and will be collecting donations for a local charity. Last year saw some 1500+ cars in attendance. This is reputed to be one of the biggest evening gatherings of classic & interesting cars of its kind in the UK. If you intend to come along I'd advise you get there before 7 pm to be sure of a parking space on the main part of the common. An overflow area will be opened to accomodate more cars when needed later on. Harpenden can be accessed from the A5 or M1 junctions 9 & 10. See you there!
