Overtaken by nearly every car on the track and we over took one......................................................with a broken gearbox. As I saw a few of you at Binbrook I decided to do a quick search on Google to find you to see what you all thought of Binbrook. Firstly I don't drive a Westfield or indeed any type of "westy" derived car, I was the one in the white Mk1 Escort doing the graceful piroettes (spelling?) There was also a silver Mk2 and a Cobra with me. After reading your comments, was the surface really that bad for you? I must admit the changes in camber in some corners really upset the balance of the 'scort which added to the fun although in a Westfield it may be a totally different kettle of fish. I don't know if any of you will be going to the next airfield day on the 26th of July but I can't wait! Johnny Posted June 16, 2003 Share Posted June 16, 2003 The cobra was having trouble with his brakes over heating and wasn't really suited to the track, prob be more at home at Santa Pod. The Mk2 box had stuck in neutral but after dropping the box out the driver managed to free it off and rejoin the fun.
