Just saves people scouring the whole thread before finding if all those first second and thirty forth dibs are have been successful. I must admit, it's not immediately obvious how you edit titles, but it is easy, you just need to click on the button to edit your original post, and then click on the "more reply options" button, this will take you to the advanced editor page, and you'll see the edit box with the title in.
