Cheers, not defiantly gone yet, but a very long story and I feel a new career and peace will do me the world of good! Driving instructor maybe?

I would give the driving instucting a wide birth, my mate used to do it and you have to put in a LOT of Hrs to make it pay + there are a LOT of people doing it so work is a bit thin on the ground!

2nd'd - you'll be working when everyone isn't.

One mate gave it up as he couldn't make it pay. He said that the claims made by driving instructror companies such as Red driving school that £30k in your spare time was easily do-able was misleading to the point of being fradulent.

Being a young bloke (25) he also said it was really difficult to secure female bookings too due to male driving instructor stereotypes.

Me too. I wanted to run after it as it drove down the road to loaded onto a trailer. It looked great all polished up. Glad yours has sold, it certainly loooked like a good car in the best colour :t-up: . Just bought a VX220, which is older, higher mileage, slower - what was I thinking? :) Sure I'll get another Westy as some point - we'll see if it's sooner or later.

Would be interested to know your thoughts on/experience with the vx220...

Have been tempted a few times to have something a but more useable day to day and vx220 always seems to come up top of the list.

Like you say though...the fact that it will be slower is what has stopped me investigating further to date.

Cheers,

Dave

I'll let you know. Mine will be a standard 2.2. N/A apart from a Larini exhaust. Hopefully it won't feel too sluggish.

Regards

Kev.

Cheers.

That was my worry about getting one (and the fact that I quite like going sideways!)

Might try and get a proper drive in one sometime and see what I think.

Cheers,

Dave
