Yeah my sister in law is Canadian, and she has some really funny language (and hates being called an American !!)

Mizzle = Misty Drizzle, normally at about 40mph with the typical winds here

In 1961 I worked with a chap from Cornwall (family business was a huge BMC dealer group in Devon & Cornwall) who told me the Cornish for a pasty was.....

Titioggie.

Can anyone confirm?

Titi...oggie Sounds like My kinds of Word.

it is just an oggy Norm i am afriad

Oh well maybe it's the shape that he was referring to.

Posted

Could be I guess, an oggy is actually from both Devon and Cornwall dialect, its the shape that is different, so I guess a Cornish one could be a tityoggie

I've remembered his names now (age related forgetfulness)

Chris MUMFORD

Really nice chap. he was from the silver spoon brigade and I was from a council flat in Hackney. We became good friends,

At least the sun is shining, however my garage is already freezing cold. Best get wrapped up for the build

Soon warm up with a bit of spanner work, need to keep movng which is not a problem during the build. Have a productive day.

Blue bits in the sky are getting bigger here and its looking a bit brighter out there.
