Zumbruk Posted August 7, 2012 Share Posted August 7, 2012 The 1800 Zetec Silver top (although the cam cover's been sprayed yellow to match the car...!) from my 1998 SEiW pressurised its crankcase on the dyno and blew all the oil out. It likely has a holed piston or failed rings. It still runs and has oil pressure. The block and head are likely undamaged. Since I didn't have the time or inclination to rebuild it myself, it's beyond economic repair and I've now had it replaced with a brand new 2 litre unit. Sadly, I don't know how many miles it had done when it went into the car, which has done ~12,000 miles since it was built. Anyone want to make me an offer, no matter how small?
