It's a mindset thing; talk yourself in to being miserable and you will be, think, "ah feck it, if I get wet, I get wet" and laugh at the absurdity of it all and you'll start to enjoy the insanity of sitting in the fastest shower/bathtub and just get on with it. :d

exciting stuff Sean :t-up:

as an aside - went to Maxey car show on Saturday and there was a stunning metallic orange T350t - first time I have actually gotten up close and personal with one - I am now hooked and are going to have to work very hard for the next couple of years to be able to afford one :d

How nice of you to remember my birthday. I'm forty, too! Just drop the keys through my letterbox, thanks.

Spot on

My car spends most of its time drying out whilst waiting for new bits

With a change of tyres this year to something giving sooo much more confidence in the wet, or where there's a high chance of standing water, I've found myself getting a lot more use from the car; all those grabbed opportunities where you think, hmm looks like rain, but might just be OK, (or where it has been raining, but hasn't dried out) have been great. They've added up too, I've actually had to ask Claire to do my insurance renewal quote at the next highest milage band from what I currently had.

I've been caught in the odd shower, one that was spectacularly heavy, you could actually see localised flooding develop! In fact twice on that trip, I actually caught bow waves that came right up over the nose of the car :o

But it's been great.

Things I've considered over the last couple of months are:

  • Ultima GTR - tad on the expensive side, may have noise issues, not much space left in the garage
  • GD Lola T70 - similar issues as the GTR, and only one for sale !
  • Westy of some description - more of a track version than carpeted and creature comforts,
  • Carterham - to keep the heritage thing going........ :p R300 ish
  • Porsche boxster / 911 (or whatever number designation they are)
  • TVR T350 - look nice
  • Atom - far too exposed, not for me

Well it was close :)
