windy
Just been to the Wyedean rally (forest of Dean) to do a bit of spectating. Apart form the usual mundane procession of WRC's spiced up by the amazing Burton 306R4, what followed was a spectacle not witnessed since the seventies. Listening to a combination of Millington, YB, BD & VX's at full chat in Escorts made my spine tingle. Most of these could be heard at 9 - 10,000 rpm from several miles away until they appeard broadside at the corner where we were standing showering everthing in gravel then disappearing in clouds of dust unto the distance. Definitely something special! Anyone else go? Windy

Rob Navin
If you want someone to call the notes for you next year count me in. It's got to sound better when you are in the car
will maskell
windy, it's just down the road for me,so yes i did go & only to see/hear the escorts they are the reason i've been going for the last 5 years. what stages did you get to see!! cheers will
windy
Stage 3 in the morning & can't recall in the afternoon - just followed the crowd of others from a car park where there were stages on both sides of the main road. Did Burton win it or did his car break down? This Peugeot 306 / 6R4 metro hybrid with a V6 DTM Opel Cossie lump in the back sounded amazing. Who won out of the Escorts? Struthers seemend to be going well as were the Squires. I can't imagine what it must be like in Phil & Micks escort when they come to call out the notes. When you speak to them on the phone at Rally & Competition Equipment there's one #### of a delay before you get a response. They must have to call out the corners in the notes about 2 miles in advance of arriving at them I guess!!!! Windy
