SteveD Posted February 7, 2003 Author Posted February 7, 2003 if you have modified your suspension pick up points or changed your wishbones would that put you in class f ,just a thought ,+ how and who will decied what goes and what does not ,not trying to upset anyone ( for once ) for instance wendy has changed his pick up points and has so has the welsh boy + a few others they have steve broughtons wishbones + changed geometry ,so what happens will they go into f Quote
Mark Stanton Posted February 7, 2003 Posted February 7, 2003 Now there's a thought Knuckles - wishbones are generally a "replacement" type part and available from various sources as many get bent in a season But altering chassis pick up points That may be seen as a change of Westfield chassis design Does it have factory drawings and option availability, thats the key - if it is an option that anyone can have at their choice and not just a one-off / selected few item. Its consultation time for organising team. If anyone would like to e-mail or PM their thoughts over - will collate & discuss and issue comments back to all SS drivers - not just those based here Quote
SteveD Posted February 7, 2003 Author Posted February 7, 2003 as far as i know its only stevie b that does this conversion and has nothing to do with the factory ,he moves the mounts on the top wishbone out by about an inch or so and changes the wb's for his own , o dear can of worms ,did i say i was not causing trouble but at the end of the day a suspension mod is a suspension mod class f it is then Quote
Arm Posted February 7, 2003 Posted February 7, 2003 these suspension arms wouldn't be modified non standard westfield would they I would like to point out at this juncture that my car is standard; standard chassis, standard pickup points, standard wishbones (freshly powder coated and no longer rusty) and as far as I can tell it complies fully with the class I intend to run in. I do not see the need for anyone to assume otherwise and will be happy for the car to be checked. I do not wish to court controversy and do not support others who wish to do so. I am more than happy to compete with faster drivers, always have been; I only wish to watch, learn and improve. I am certainly not afraid to compete with and be judged against them. Apologies if I have misunderstood. Ash Quote
SteveD Posted February 7, 2003 Author Posted February 7, 2003 mason did your soliciter write that for you and as for the apologie ,well i just don't believe you i will if you build my lotus twin cam for me mate buddy pal Quote

Mark Stanton Posted February 7, 2003 Posted February 7, 2003 Speed Series police will be undertaking several dawn raids in the very near future anyone caught in the possesion of non-standard components (or sheep) will be put against a wall and shot Its amazing the sub-clauses you can find if you look hard enough Quote
