Dibby
Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love F1 but I don't like the directions it's taken in the last few years with the FIA refusing to anything about the issue of dirty air. When Alonso and Hamilton got caught up behind Perez they should have been straight through with no messing, when they finally got past they disappeared off into the distance. Even with advantage of DRS it took them a few laps to complete the overtake and cars with that much performance advantage should be able to overtake easily without having to rely on artificial gadgets like DRS. DRS livens things up and gives us overtaking manouvres but there should be no need to artificially favour the driver behind just because he is within a second at a set point on the lap, the fastest car/ driver combination should win fair and square. Marcus Barlow - Show and Events Co-ordinator
the fastest car/ driver combination should win fair and square. You would have to get rid of pit stops, safety car and rain as well as drs for that to happen
pistonbroke
In terms of lap times there isn't a geat deal of difference between the fastest and slowest cars , so no wonder its difficult to overtake
Lurksalot
I don't like the directions it's taken in the last few years with the FIA refusing to anything about the issue of dirty air............................................. DRS livens things up and gives us overtaking manouvres . I thought DRS was as a direct result of overcoming the issue of 'dirty air' , ie the chance of reduced drag enabling the chaser to position himself to make an overtaking move becuase of the fact he may lose his own cornering grip when following closely
Dibby
DRS is an artificial way round it that doesn't do anything about the root cause. To make a proper job of it would be to reduce downforce to, say, half what they're generating. Set a maximum downforce level at 100 and 200mph, no F-duct, no DRS
pistonbroke
I would get shut of all aero devices , wings the lot . Get back to mechanical grip alone and no driver aids , get rid of those stupid playstation wheels and give 'em a proper gear stick .
