Tried Out New Iphone App Today (Trackcam)

Was looking to get a new HD camera, say a GOPRO for the Westie, but heard about the app called trackcam, anyway downloaded it (£2.49) and am very impressed, as it has all the G data, speed etc all user configurable. Anyway, used it today in my everyday car as a tester:

Just ordered a griffin survivor case and will then look at a way to fix it to the car now.....

I'm planning on looking at trying out TrackMaster, allows you to put multiple split lines in google and time laps.

Would be interested to see how you mount the phone Lee.

I wonder if there's some sort of mount that can help reduce camera shake

Em, just had a look at that myself, and for £2.49, why not.

Only way I'm going to get the dot out the circle though, is if I plough into the car in front

Seems a cheap app that.

I purchased Harrys Lap Timer Pro a few days ago but not had chance to play around with it yet.

Its my birthday next week and my mrs has got me a Ram mount so im able to mount the iphone onto the rollcage.

I will post up some clips soon, hoping to have a play tommoz.

Thanks, been looking at various mounts for mountain bikes so may get one of them and see if i can modify it to fit the roll bar? Will also need to look at running a power cable I reckon as the app/gps will drain the battery power quite a bit I reckon!

A little frustratingly it won't export my little test run today, albeit it was a 20 min vid - it'll happily export shorter ones. Could be equally frustrating if trying to capture a track session :bangshead:

looks like it takes a while to update the speed when you slow down / accelerate. Is that the gps or is it damped?

Ok I've started again - it's been about an hour and it looks to be about a third of the way through.

I like your car blog btw. Your car history looks awesome! :t-up:

Thanks mate, glad you like the blog just thought I would give it a go. The old Escorts were great, but no where near as good to drive as the Westie!!
