Which car have you always desired ever since you wanted a car but what would you buy now given that you’re wiser?

The only proviso being not the Westy as most here would have one.

My fantasy car ever since I was young has been a Porsche 911 in most of it’s guises throughout its development have fitted the bill as It’s about the same age as me, but never bought one although been able to afford one in the past.

The car I most desire now would be the Nissan GTR probably the closest thing I could afford to a super car.

Umm!

In 1975 my daily drive was a K reg Ford Escort "Twin Cam" with a Vegantune super sprint conversion....173 BHP.

In 1980 My daily drive was a 2.3 911 Porsche, ( W reg ) a re-registered import from Belguim.

I have also had a Nissan sunny Pulsar...278 BHP.

And My Bro has a Audi A8 V10 ( ask Bob Green!)

My daily drive now is a KIa Ce-ed 2.0 diesel Sport...new and pushing 150 BHP...

The car of my dreams is up for sale at the mo for £60,000.....

A fully re-built Escort "Twin Cam"....

Always had an hankering for the RS 1800 tho!

When I was a youngster I wanted a 911 always loved them. These days I would rather have my Cayman than a 911. Dream car now? That’s a tough one may be a Zonda just for the OTT side of things.

Hmm, tricky one this. If we're talking fantasy garages...

The school boy fantasy/poster car when I was little was the Koenig Countach, in white :laugh:http://www.lambocars.com/archive/highres/lp500qv7.jpg and as a teenager, the Porsche 959 http://www.ssip.net/upload/porsche-959-white-3_91.jpg Both appealed for different reasons, the pantomime Lambo and the technically stunning Porsche.

But now, with a free choice, I really struggle, in fact, it wouldn't be a new car at all, I'd have to include in a fantasy garage a car that's been my out and out favourite for looks, since the day I first saw it announced, the Ferrari 288 GTO http://www.adrianblog.com/wp-content/uploads/ferrari_288_gto_side.jpg

Realy Realy hard, I like and hate loads of cars, but always wanted a Mclaren F1 since it was launched, one for the 10 car garage. (I wish)

For me it was the Testarossa - my formative years were the 80s watching Miami Vice.......I never really got any wiser :o .....however if I could buy any car today it would be a 458...if I had an infinite budget for maintenance I would have a Porsche GT3 Cup car for trackdays

No question about it, Aston Martin DB4 GT Zagato, most beautiful car ever! I'd move my bed into the garage and sleep with it. :)

Tell me about it! The sound of that engine still rings in my ears. Beautiful.

I had the privilege of driving one of these in the ‘90’s and was totally blown away. I have looked at a few with a view to buy but sadly, the condition of the cars was not what I would expect.
