cheers mate

does anyone know whether I could have problems if I had the cat put inside the can and had the second oxygen sensor at the tail pipe? someone mentioned to me that the gases are normally checked right before and after cat, and that having the sensor after the can (as further away from cat, plus the fact that the can alters gases) could result in the sensor/ecu struggling?

If the sensor is too near the end of the tail pipe it can get false readings from the Oxygen coming back up. Not an issue at high revs when pumping a lot of gas out, but can be at low rpm idle conditions. (The same conditions when typically a lambda sensor is being used the most to keep the AFR ratio in the green!)

right ive decided... ive spoken to the motorsports guy i know in germany and hes told me he fits the cats inside the cans..so should be fine. he just said the system needs to be 100% tight so that sensors work correctly.(plus rear sensor will go on rear of tailpipe so will be a bit away from outside air)

mics fellar in wales is doing the manifold, techcraft arer suplying the can with cat inside (simpsons are taking orders for march now!!)

then itll be off to camcoat!!
