jeff oakley Posted December 21, 2011 Posted December 21, 2011 I hope there is a campaign where we can pledge financial support as well. It is a sad day when a loud mouthed yob cannot be trown off a train. How the hell ticket collecters are expected to do their jobs after this is beyond imagination. It alkso says to those who think like this young yob that they are untouchable. The conducter has been suspended, I read somewhere and now this. So wrong. Quote
adamnreeves Posted December 21, 2011 Posted December 21, 2011 The bi chap did not ruff up the lad to much when first chucking him off. It was only when the muppet tried to get back on he got hurt. According to the lad statement. He tried to get back on the train to collect his bag which had his medication, money and stuff in. If this is true, then you can understand why he tried to get back on. So easy to judge without all the facts and one side of view. There was an advert on telly a few years ago if you remember it, I'll use this as an example. Someone was filmed pushing someone else over on the pavement with looked like he was attacking him. Then they showed another angle whereby some object, a pile of bricks or something was falling off some scaffolding above him. Quote
perksy Posted December 21, 2011 Posted December 21, 2011 Bearing in mind the level of publicity this received i think it was fairly inevitable that the big fella was going to be charged If he hadn't been it would have put the transport police in a difficult situation Would they have been seen as condoning it by not taking any action Quite possibly I believe the youth has also been charged aswell though My concern is also for the conductor, who i believe has also been suspended Although i'd hope with good union representation he will be ok Hopefully as and when this reaches court the big fellas actions will be seen with a balanced approach and he will be ok I do hope this ends up with a happy ending for him and his employer is supportive aswell Don't think it will be a very nice christmas for him and his family with this hanging over his head though Quote

Bet he says there was a 19" laptop in it and claims criminal damage Quote
echoz Posted December 21, 2011 Posted December 21, 2011 QUOTE He tried to get back on the train to collect his bag which had his medication, money and stuff in. Shoulda brought a ticket then! Not really understanding why the conductor has been suspended? Quote
perksy Posted December 21, 2011 Posted December 21, 2011 Not really understanding why the conductor has been suspended? I'd guess because he didn't follow laid down company procedure ie phoning ahead so transport police could board the train and saying 'yes' when the big fella asked him if he wanted the youth off the train I'd hazard a guess he will be suspended on full pay pending investigation Aslong as he's a union member he will be receving support from his local rep and fto Quote
