Basically I'm looking for a Wide bodied, yellow if poss (pref with black cycle wings) and in 1.8 or 2.0 guise(which are best?). I'm currently researching the stuff I need to know before scanning the car ads. My initial preference is one that is as it was out of the factory (i.e standard with minimal mods). Looking for circa 150bhp or an model that is easily and reliably tunable. I shall be using on trackdays as well as the road so noise wise it must be 'compliant' with most tracks. FWIW I reckon you might have to stretch your budget by £500 or so, but otherwise everything you mention should be attainable. General wisdom is that given the option, go for 2.0 if you can.
