SteveF Posted September 9, 2003 Share Posted September 9, 2003 Another thing I found with my Xflow is that it sometimes had a tendancy to blow oil out of the dipstick if it was overfilled and the dipstick wasn't too secure - first time this happened I nearly crapped myself - as a large blue cloud erupted from under the bonnet - I thought I'd blown something seriously. Investigation (looking at the underside of the bonnet) showed that there was an oily splodge just above the dipstick - and the oil had sprayed all over the engine bay - hence the blue smoke! I now have a small 'catch pot' over the top of the dipstick - which consists of the remains of an old pop bottle with the neck sealed over the dipstick tube Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
