Quite frankly - anybody on this forum stating the original notice was unfair is talking rubbish - we weren't there, we do not no the facts, simple!

Scott - it appears that if someone agrees with you they make a valid contribution , if they don't they receive a heap of crap back!

Now stop whinging and whining The OP isn't even subject to a S.59 notice!

Despite some popular belief the Police don't just randomly pick a name out of a hat a decide to persecute that person - they are employed by the civil service and have powers to make decisions - if that decision is sometimes wrong then so be it - it's called LIFE.

Frasier,

I think the Cap'ns point is.....

Innocent until proven guilty is a foundation cornerstone of democratic justice systems.....

It appears that S.59 notices may be applied without this basic tenet of justice being correctly observed....

Now, it's Friday, let's all play nicely.... :t-up:  :t-up:  :D  :D

I'll be the mature one here and ignore yet another inflammatory and personal attack... :bangshead:

Dave, thank you, spot on, succinctly put. :t-up:

capt,

Im glad your saw my side :)

I strongly disagree with officers who use powers to their discression and this is the police's hardest bridge to get over.

There are too many ego filled officers who think its okay to issue a ticket etc because.....wait for it....."they can." But this only puts more of a gap between hard working citizens and the police  :bangshead:

I have witnessed first hand how good these tools are if they can be used correctly and on the typical spotty teenager who wants a dust bin for an exhaust and the biggest sound system in their boot! They soon clear off when the officers issue the first section 59 and they dont come back in fear of having their car seized  :p  its funny to see the fear in their eyes when first encountered

Hope my inputs have been a bit of a use for future incase anybody ever needs any help with the S.59's.

Im here to help :)

I was there and I had hoped that I had explained the situation. I believe that I was unfairley treated. Im not looking at causing arguments between memebers. With this post  I was seeking advice, all of which has been welcome.

Oh and if there is a next time I will now be far the wiser, Ive gained knowkedge and dont have the S59 hanging over me. Win Win I believe.

And my opinion in all this......Ive never been the wrong side of the law and have never had any dealings with the police but this has left a very bitter taste.

well said... this is the police's trouble. punishing hard working citizens who pay all their taxes then they get treated like this.

Hope that somewhere in the future the Police service will re-gain your confidence.

You should be so lucky, I got pulled while testing the new motor a few years back, how harsh was that?

Also Recently ran into a bit of guidance from our friends in blue, when it transpires that blue under floor neons in a Westfield are not too everyone's taste. Sat on cleggys drive at the time, so I told them it was his fault

goodness me boys, we have people everyday in jobs that make decisions that are not quite right , sometimes they get passed of as a mistake , sometimes over zealous , but do we really have to crucify those that are trying to help ALL of society live and let live , rather than live and let die ???

If anyone here thinks they can apply the law in a better , more even handed , fairer and more accepted way then stop whingeing and go and do it. I've had a few run ins with up holders of the law , but is it a job I would do ...... no way ...... so it is put up or shut up I guess.

some you win some you lose but generally the majority wins , and that is the point , MOST people benefit.

mods must be sleeping? could be a good time to re-open the "p*****g in the shower debate?" :suspect:

theres good and bad everywhere you look, the key aspect to life is to rememeber the majority are good, and to not let the bad get you down.

Mr Nikpro sir (i know your name is fraz/ser but cant rmemeber for the life of me whether its a z or an s :D ), remember when people have a rant at the police, it isnt always your turn to defend them, when it comes to police, peoples opinions are high and strong. i used to spend a lot of time defending them to people who knew nothing, being that my dad is a PO, i finally realised its a waste of time, and that when it comes down to it, these nay sayers will be the first to ring you when there house is burgled, there mum is mugged, or there car vandalised, shame really.

me and my mate have this theory - you have coppers, and then you have pigs. coppers are as i said previously, the vast majority, the hardworking decent workforce who do an outstanding job of keeping the peace imho... then you have pigs, the rotten apple among the crate, who is an A***, and can often be power hungry, can be seen in pcso's quite often, especially where i'm from in the good ole countryside. these are few and far between, but when you come across one, it doesnt have make your blood boil. however, it is key to rememeber that this one tw@t is also normally regarded the same as you feel, by his colleagues, i have one in my head now, who on no more than 5 seperate occasions, have his colleagues stated that he was an are, he was subsequently disbanded from his pcso position after tormenting school kids on a daily basis for doing nothing wrong, asserting authority he did not have, and generally being a t**t. this should serve to notify that the police take abuse of power very seriously and it will not be tolerated. so if you ever feel like you have ever been treated unfairly, make your complaint, youll find it is treated seriously, but fairly.

the police is one of few jobs where you are given the right to hold judgement, 99.9% hold this responcibility in the highest regard. :)

and remember, when 10 kids start throwing bricks at your house, who you will call :)
