Trying very hard here to not say anything about proms and the ridiculous amounts of money spent by parents so kids can impress each other, particularly as the kids stopping speaking to their school mates about ten seconds after leaving school anyway.

Yep, you've got lots to thank us Yanks for... proms, injury lawyers, drive-thru fast food,  me...!

Its the daughters prom and as usual the girls have started b***hing about how they are getting there and who is worthy of sharing limo's with who.    :bangshead:

If you knew my daughter you would know that statement is very far from the truth  :p

Pew ..Thanks for the pointer  :t-up:  Halfpenny quoted me £750 so that's a non starter. It s only an idea if there was a cost effective plan so they can go in the Beemer unless one of the guys I know has his Rolls available for a couple of hours  :t-up:

Emma just a thought . How many does your wheel barrow hold?

Scott, my little baby, who was 40 in January has organised a school reunion for his and his sisters two years. Almost a 100% attendance for this p1ss up in October. Most have kept in touch all these years. It's the JUNIOR school we're talking about here so they left it about 29 years ago!

As for the rest of the list I will never forgive you for any of that except yourself. You seem different from all the citizens of the US of A I've met (as I sold my company to a US giant, I've met a lot).  :)

Why are you having the cheek to call Stu's daughter a spoiled brat? How well do you know Stu or his daughter? I suspect that as you dont even seem to be a member of the WSCC the answer is not at all. So maybe you owe Stu an apology for insulting him and his daughter on a public forum? People like you make me sick.

Well, that's different to the experience of my wife, step-daughter, and myself.  They're very fortunate indeed. I hated school mainly for the twunts who I had to endure while there.

As for the list, I'm only responsible for exporting me, but I thank you for what I hope and believe was a compliment! I know what you mean and tend to agree. We often go to Stratford upon Avon for a play or to drink at The Dirty Duck, and I avoid visiting Americans like the plague. The last one I ran into grabbed me by the arm having heard my accent and yelled at me "Hey! You! Where is Shakespeare's birthplace?".  I calmly directed him to the local maternity hospital, and went back to my pint.  :p

I'm not calling her a spoiled brat and I don't know either of them at all. I also don't see what on earth being a member of a web forum has to do with any of the rest of your post.

I was commenting on the section quoted, which was a quote from the OP himself about the "b***hing" going on "as usual" about "who was worthy" which to my mind reeks of the usual female teenage behaviour at that age. My comment was related only to his description of the behaviour in this instance, not some long term judgment of his family!

I haven't insulted anyone, I haven't said shes spoiled, merely commented on someones description of someone else's behaviour, so no, I have nothing to apologise for. Stu has said his daughters not like that and that's all that needs said, I suspect from his tone he took it with the humour it was intended, unlike yourself.

If "people like me" (talk about stereotyping from a single comment - hypocrite) make you "sick" I suggest the issue lies far more with you than with me. Furthermore, taking the internet seriously isn't a good sign either.

Now, none of that was really necessary was it? So now we can let the thread return to discussions of helicopters, money making schemes, prom and lifelong friendships?
