xflow
Is it possable to put a Dry Sumped 1750 Xflow in a Westy where do you mount the Tank?
Blatman
Anywhere there's room....... The "normal" place is in the front of the passenger footwell (ie, you shorten the footwell with another piece of ally, and mount the tank in the box you've created, with the filler accessible in the engine bay, as it'll be taller than the footwell), and if you have a narrow bodied car, that'd probably be just about the only place. If you have a wide car, they *may* be enough room to get it in to the engine bay area, and certainly I have seen the SBD dry sump tank mounted in there without any problems, and that's with engines that are bigger than the x-flow. RICHARD+PHILIP
My Crossflow in a narrow body had a drysump tank mounted in the engine bay infront of the passenger footwell so here should be enough room for it. without shortening the footwell I had a triangular tank made up which fitted in this area nicely but if you can't be bothered to do this then SBD/Pace products do some nice round tanks Phil
