CrashBangWallop
Hi guys, I started my car in gear, this morning, and it learched (sp?) forward. Not really a problem, ususally. But, my car wouldn't start after that. The AA turned up, tried various things whacking starter with big rod; rocking car back and forth, etc... and decided that the starter was fooked. :-( Started the car, easily, by bumping it, and drove home. He reckoned between 100-150 quid for the starter and an hour's worth of labour. So anything from 150-200ish quid to get it done. I've changed the starter on my Westfield loads of times - three bolts and a couple of wires. Really easy. Question. Will it be any more difficult changing the starter on my Fiesta (standard Zetec-S)? ***Cambridge-folk... And, if no-one is at Stoneleigh, would anyone mind giving me a hand to do it, if I can source a starter tomorrow?*** I'm more concerned about where to jack the car up, as opposed to doing the actual job. Thanks, Neil
