JeffC Posted April 12, 2011 Posted April 12, 2011 Im doing one of those posts I hate where i will get suggestions , take no notice whatsoever and go and buy a transit di or similar the script is.. currently got a Boxster S 3.2 which ive had for 4 months now and tbh Is growing on me the more i use it downside is when kids are off we cant use it so end up using a car ive got in which is hardly exciting to drive as they are all diesels I want to replace the Boxster with a convertible with 4 seats. dont really fancy something run of the mill, thought about an S line A4 cab but had them before and didnt use them, Ive been to see a 911 cabriolet (997) but car was a pig and cant say I liked the drive, felt like a car that someone had chopped the roof off, wallowed all over the place, was quick but didnt feel safe, not sure it was a good example but from the 10 mile drive i had the Boxster was a much more balanced and in my opinion better car!! Ive thought about an RS4 cab but I know of the running costs associated with those, (front brakes £1500) not sure i fancy scarey bills any other suggestions of cars that might tick the box, im struggling to come up with anything Quote
V8grunt Posted April 12, 2011 Posted April 12, 2011 Elton John's Maserati Quattroporte for sale 11 January 2010 A Maserati Quattroporte S previously owned by Elton John is currently advertised for sale on Auto Trader. The Rocket Man bought the car, which is currently registered to his company, in 2005 and during that time the Maserati Quattroportehas racked up just 3,500 miles. Elton John is a fully paid-up member of the rock aristocracy, selling more than 250 million records worldwide, including Candle in the Wind 2007, which shifted 37 million copies alone, making it the biggest-selling single in history. £39,995 ONO. Just needs the seats wiping clean because of some slight leakage! Quote
