echoz Posted November 30, 2012 Posted November 30, 2012 (edited) Also would anyone know how to find out who has certain plates, K1 NGO is on a Vauxhall Corsa Active (3 Door Hatchback) K11 NGO is on a Renault Espace Dynamique Dci 120 (Mpv) K111 NGO doesnt yield any results but dvla site doesnt bring it up when you search for it, only giving V111 NGO anyone shed any light if theres a way of contacting owners of plates and making an offer? Wanted to get my dad one for his birthday as well but its taken! M3 and his initials, and theyre all on cars that arent relevant to the M3 moniker! Edited November 30, 2012 by echoz Quote

simon besant Posted November 30, 2012 Posted November 30, 2012 I got a reg number off an old jeep and put it on my wife's car but she made me take it off as she got sick of having comments made to her so I had to put it on my estate S6 MAD Sex mad I wish! Quote
Simeon Posted November 30, 2012 Posted November 30, 2012 No word of a lie but in 1980 I worked with a lad in the RAF and on his clapped out Nissan 120Y he had the number plate JB 007. He said the number belonged to his brother and at the time Pinewood studios had offered him £20,000 for it which he declined. Well the number plate was genuine, don't know about the second bit. Quote
sweet orange Posted November 30, 2012 Posted November 30, 2012 There is a Bentley i've seen a few times on the A518.... think he is a pilot. 1 FLY I had D4VD H for years, sold it in the summer... not sure where it is now. 387 DEH is on my van now. They can be a pain when you want a new motor though. And you can be mistaken for a C0CK! DAVID EDWARD HUDSON Quote
Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) - Club Chairman Posted November 30, 2012 Posted November 30, 2012 Some of our clients have some fantastic plates, if you're into that sort of thing, quite a few two letter one number style too, which I'm told are the most valuable. One client even has Nigel Mansell's people rregularly in touch seeing if he'll sell! (client confidentiality and all that prevents me actually listing the plates, doh!) Quote

jeff oakley Posted November 30, 2012 Posted November 30, 2012 As far as I am aware Barnsley Council still own The 1 and The 2 both are on civic cars. Rotherham had She 1 but She two was sold to a haulier in Barnsley. It is strange that when number plate selling first started it was seen as a waste of money and yet the good plates have prooved to be massive investment tools for many. The trick seems to be spotting what will sell in the future. WWW1 WEB1 NET1 are all obvious ones now worth a fortune. One of my staff had a father who was a doctor his initials were JAB, he bought JAB 1 which is still on his widows bently. He bought for his two daughters 21st birthday JUL1E and EJB 2 for what was small money back then. Emma still has EJB 2 but here sister Julie sold her plate for a huge sum a couple of years ago. Quote
