JonnyBoy
your local automotive paint suppliers will carry loads of swatches for all colours. Probably asking if you can have a look.
hilux
quite like the 'sky blue' colour the gt40's are painted in. Try GT 40 kit manufacturer, you may find one in classic/kit magazines Are you gonna put the orange stripe down the middle. Best example was Gulf porsche 917....1000bhp
mak1
jonny ... my local automotive paint supplier has gone bankrupt hilux ... wow! that's amazing, and that's the colour that i want. don't think i'll go with the stripe, but maybe a 'splash' of orange here or there mik
stu999
IIRC There was a piccy of an XTR2 in Gulf colours on here recently, so the factory may be able to help. I'll try a search.... Stu

jtwonk
my car is as close to Gulf racing blue as I know. it did have orange stripes & cycle wings from previous owner. but is now just plain blue with black cycle wings. The colour on the reverse side of the panels on the Westfield label is Rylands light blue if this helps. If you do get a paint code post it up here as I might be getting some bits painted over winter. Thanks Jonathan
S8ight
without wanting to stae the obvious. phone Gulf
oilman
Gulf - that'll be chevrontexaco. I don't know if Gulf is a brand that they use any more. pity.
Blatman
The colour on the reverse side of the panels on the Westfield label is Rylands light blue Which is almost certainly from Llewelyn Ryland. Ring 'em for a colour swatch. You can also try Scott Bader on 01384 483955. There was some discussion on availibilty of gel coat in supposed "unavailable" colours here....... mak1
jtwonk - this is what i have come up with so far: "Call your local paint store & tell them that it's a Glassurit paint code for 1973 Porsche Gulf blue" or JW automotive colours from the berger paint co. 1125 standard triumph powder blue p030 - 8013 1456 triumph marigold p030 - 3393 i'll see if any of this makes sense to the paint people tomorrow
