neilwillis
OK, emissions sorted, and I think the speedo's reading correctly too. Just got to wait til 24th for the retest.
Megablade Paul
Thanks Paul, I had 3 attempts to get it right by playing with the numbers after a call to Westfields. I think my problem was the sensor's distance from the bolt heads. I have re set it now, but of course I will only know for certain at the re-test. The other problem was over rich mixture. Most probably just crud in one of the needle valves, but I could do with some info on pressure regulators, and how to decrease the fuel pressure. Can anyone help there? Is it the filter king? if so remove the dome head nut on the top unscrew the lock nut below and using a screw driver turn the screw anti clockwise to reduce the pressure and clockwise to increase pressure. Ideally fit a gauge to set it the the required pressure accurately. If its not a filter king dunno
neilwillis
Thanks for that, I do have a filter king. Took the car to the local garage yesterday, and the emissions are reading nice n low now. I think (hope) it was just crud in one of the needle valves making it run very rich. If it isn't, then at least I know what to do to reduce the pressure. - Funny really, I felt quite a lot of pressure that day!
