In Switzerland they had a referendum on their railways, do you wanter faster or cheaper.

No guesses what the result was.

Here we waste millions looking into hair brained schemes that we can't afford and do not want.

The revised route goes over the road to the North of Curborough where you turn into the little lane for 20 metres. So quite close.

Do you mean just off the A515, if so that is following the existing electrified intercity line.

I think most of the speed series guys approach Curborough via the A38, but being relatively local I approach from the other side, from the A515.

No, where you turn off the road between the 515 and the 38 to go into Curborough.

Taken from another site - Curborough is still under threat. Act now if you want to help save it...........

I now hear that Curborough is not out of the woods yet and may be under even greater threat.

Having lost out on the profits from the abandoned development plan, the landowner now seems to be actively promoting "The New Village option" - http://www.newvillageoption.co.uk/ .

At first glance this looks pretty inocuous but click on the link on the left for "New Village Option" (the link embedded in the text doesn't work) and you will go here: http://www.newvillageoption.co.uk/node/20 and see that the initiative builds houses right on the Curborough site.

The New Village initiative is actively trying to persuade residents to lobby the council to include the new village in the councils own plans www.lichfielddc.gov.uk/bigplanningdebate.

This is a new threat and very real, if this goes ahead another affordable motorsport venue for real people will be lost forever. The really worrying thing which I heard is that SDCC's lease prevents the Club from oposing this development, so it is up to us; the Club cannot act against the landowner's interests! We have until the 28th to express a different view from the landowner, if you want to save this grassroots venue please email developmentplans@lichfielddc.gov.uk

If it helps, you can use wording like this.

"Dear sir

I object to the inclusion of the new village option concentrating development on the land south of Wood End Lane

I favour the Council's existing settlement hierarchy

Yours sincerely "

If you want to save Curborough and don't act now then, when it it is lost, there is only one person you can blame.....................

Wow, that's seriously close. However, it isn't possible from the plans of this sort of proposed infrastructure development to :bangshead:  say exactly where the line will run, to within 20 metres. It is just as likely in that case that it will go straight through the Fradley hairpin, :bangshead:  :bangshead:  :bangshead:
