Has the postman stolen my Westifeld World

Did anyone on here not getting their copies get it sorted? I have not seen mine since about last october. Didn't get a calendar and not seen anything since. i am a fully paid up member however my renewal is due soon and my payments may just go missing too

I emailed the membership secretary when I realised mine was lost in the post forever and he sent me a new one and calendar     I've since also had both issues 1 & 2 for this year too.

I have not seen a Westfield World since the middle of last year. I think there must be a fair few in Mr Postmans sack.

It would have been nice to have a 2011 calender i surpose there is always next year to look forward too.

well I won't be hoping on getting one next year as judging be the responses to this and previous threads on this matter I may not bother resubscribing

I got the last issue, but not the previous one and no calendar. I'm not moaning but I did email twice in the space of a month but still nothing.

It makes me feel a little better that I am not the only one who has missed out.

I renewed my membership in August 2010 even though it was not due until November. I did not recieve issue 5 2010 (now been told there are no copies left), but eventually recieved issue 6 and calender after many Emails. Have been promised issue 1 2011 and issue 2 when issued but still not arrived.

I have been a member since I started building my first Westie in '89 and have a copy of every WW since. Even though I no longer have a Westfield or even live in the UK I was planning on keeping up my membership, but I am not so sure now

I'm sure there's a perfectly good explanation as to why it's happened.  As you say, the fact that people do this voluntarily for little reward and much grief while fitting in their own lives is remarkable.

Personally, I have had no problems with receiving mags and calendars, but I've got a good postie as well - had an awful one years ago and all sorts of things went missing.

If I might be so bold as to suggest a course of action:

> PM and email Mr Chairman and Mr Secretary (yes, I know you've already done this and more), politely explaining the ongoing issues and the URL of this thread as well

> Make sure you put in your message your membership number on your WSCC card and full postal address, and ask them to check that against their records

> Include your preferred contact email address and phone number and a time when it would best to contact you back to discuss things

> Finally, as I'm sure this was all accidental or an oversight, and as those of you who have missed multiple copies of the magazine and / or the calendar and cannot get a replacement item, there must be a reasonable solution - maybe an idea might be a free membership extension (insert number of weeks dependant upon circumstances)?  Just an idea which might placate those aggrieved while costing the club a very small amount, making both sides happy.

Not sure if this already happens, but might it be an idea to post a message in the boardroom as a sticky when magazines or calendars are sent out so everyone can keep an eye out for them and report back if they haven't been received?  This way, the club can also measure the size of the lost or unsent postage problem and evaluate if corrective measures are needed.

Thanks all - as they say, we are working to resume normal working service asap.  I am trying to work out a sensible way (with our publisher) of getting all the copies and calendars that have been missed distributed to their rightful homes.

Just because you aint heard from me - donna mean nothing aint happening.

I know that this has been a problem for many people  from this and previous threads on the boardroom so i have submitted several polite emails to the membership secretary asking if this can be looked into. I know that the emails have been read but as yet I am awaiting a response. A simple "I am looking into it" would suffice so that I at least know that my request has been picked up.

I am not saying that nothing has been done but it would be nice to know. I know the club is run by volunteers but a simple confirmation email is not very time consuming, bearing this in mind I do have to say that service may be a little disappointing if you think that i am paying for something I am not getting.

Anyway I don't want to turn this into a rant I just want my Westfield World. with my car off the road this is the only westy fun I get to enjoy.

And I may even be missing Stoneleigh this year due to work comitments just to make it worse
