stevewi
Hi All, I am collecting my Road alloys this Weekend and was going to go with the yokohama A032R tyres. But the company told me the A049R are replacing the A032R and they should be able to get me a set, if I want them. Does anybody know anything about these? Can't even find a reference on the yoko website. Thanks Steve
Graham
I guess you mean 048r? They are supposed to be better than the 032r, basically the latest version of the 032r. Most obvious difference is they have a solid band around the middle. Apparently, the 032r's had a tendancy to overheat on heavier cars (so no big deal for Westfields then). The band reduces the movement of the blocks thus less heat. Yokohama Biggest problem when I looked into them was availability, if you can get them and they are not loads more then I'd be inclined to go for it.
