Gromit Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 Most of the problems people have with the mortar guns is that they dont use them properly. You have to make sure once its loaded to tighten the nut at the top of the shaft so it squashers the rubber seal out against the tube. If you dont do this the water in the mix will squeeze past the seal and you`ll end up locking the gun after the plungers gone down a couple of inches. slater Posted October 4, 2010 Posted October 4, 2010 There is a mortar gun on the market that uses a special mix of cement, b****y expensive though and the mortar has to be machine mixed. Only cost effective though if you have over 500 square metres to do, better off with a hand hawk, decent pointing trowel and some decent music. lewis Quote
