Thinking of this car....

Hi Guys,

Im thinking of buying this wesite, do any of you know the car of the history behind it?

I know the seller posts on here, not meaning to step on his toes, just looking to get a little background before potentialy comitting to such a specialist car, im sure you understand.

The spec reads well, buy the owners own admission it could do with a little cosmetic tlc.  Dont worry about the price, I will sort that with the owner, just looking for opinions on the car/history.

You wont go much (any) faster in a straight line for the money and who cares what it looks like when you're driving away from the porker / fezza / lambo / R500

Noise is the biggest issue I spose, particularly if you're going to track it (be rude not to). Get a db reading and compare it to the limits at circuits. Think it has straight cut gears too which will add to volume.

Think it has straight cut gears too

ALL motorcycle gearboxes are straight cut dog boxes. They're not noisy though, except when actually selecting a gear........

Built by Chris Allanson of Z Cars - who also tweaked original chassis to accept the two engines - this was Z Cars second Westfield to receive such treatment - I think the original chassis was one used by Chirs Mairies for the Westfield race series  :D  ;)  :)  :D

Oh and its 'kin quick   :p  :D  :)  ;)  :D  :)  :D    :D

Yeah, but the twins have two. And also a bloomin great transfer box that also has straight cut gears. Trust me they ARE noisy!

fact ! the car was origanaly owned by chris marries who lives a couple of miles from me it had a 265 bhp mazda rotary engine in it and has had extensive mods to the chassis before the bike engines were fitted ,a lot of one off bits were fitted ,it was raced for many years in the ace veichcle deliveries championship at oulton park ,so check it out carefully  ! chris was not one for perfection when rebuilding things ,

I could be way off the mark here and if I am I am sorry but when looking at such a specialist car I would like to take a look at the whole picture. Something that strikes me as odd is the fact that so much has gone into making this car in to a piloted missile but the car is running on an old set of Ford RS alloys and skinny tyres and it has what look like bench seats. Strange when you think how much the rest must have cost to sort out.Once again sorry if I am doing the present owner a disservice  ???
