Road Tax

Recommended Posts

My car is registered as an historic vehicle. (I think because the original own/builder kept the engine and propshaft from a 1968 escort) As such I don't have to pay roadtax.

With any luck I will soon be getting an upgraded engine, a1700Xflow to replace my 1300

Does anyone know what affect this will have on my "historic vehicle status"?

(I'm paranoid about going into a detailed discusion with the DVLA, in case they cotton on to the fact that my car wasn't really built in 1968)..

Cheers - Mark

all you have to do is send the logbook back with a request to change the engine number, they don't ask why  ;)
