Black Top Zetec 2.0L

Well I think I'm on the right road at last! I have been offered a Focus (02) 2.0L Zetec engine. AFAIK they are different from the older types of Zetec engine. I have searched the archives (for about an hour on broadband before anybody jumps on me ;)  and would like to ask the elders of the forum a few questions

my budget is pretty tight so I need a cheap but cheerful throttle body/management kit, any suggestions?

Can i use a MT75 like the older Zetecs? (matching straight to the engine)

Are the engine mountings the same as the older types?

are the spigot bearings the same?

Please e mail me with all the information you think might help me because I don't want to start an endless debate amongst the knowledgeable folks that contribute to this forum.

I really have tried to find the information, really :durr:

cheers and regards

Mike

Don't know about the other stuff but, the cheapest throttle body kit that i found was from Schollar engines @ £1300 which seemed to include most stuff.

Do a search for Schollar in the technical section :durr:

But make sure you search for SCHOLAR (only one 'L';) or you may never find it  :D

driftawayuk just as another pointer for you as the mounting of this engine, the engine mounting on the N/S of the engine is the same as the earlier zetec engine but the O/S is totally different as the oil filter is mounted there instead, so there will be fabrication work required there, ether gearbox is ok MT75 and Type 9, the sumps the major one like its different by along shot as described in previous postings due the the windage tray arrangement, i used the raceline unit and there windage tray all in all it was £450 for the sump kit inc vat and the postage if i remember right, click on my web page link to see some pics if you want to see them, :D  :t-up:

James evnin mate, aye on mine where the engine mounting was on the early engine the oil filter is so the mounting plate needs to go further back, hence the hole and plate confiquration westfield mounting has dont match the engine pattern,no major problem though, abit cut chop weld here and there and hey presto sorted :D ive checked both versions and the early zetecs are totally different to mine, which is a 2001 focus lump. :D
