Air filter

I realise I am probably opening a can of worms but.......I have a 2ltr Pinto, standard except for unleaded conversion, running on 45's. I started off with push on Ramairs but these don't work as they just get sucked onto the ends of the ram pipes choking everything (no go - much missfiring-10 to the gallon!!!;). Goes fantastically without any filters which is tempting but I don't wish to knacker the carbs or have to remove small children and animals from the intakes.

So, what suggestions?

Liam :)  :)  :)

Many thanks all.

Found a temporary solution. Ran a stainless steel bike spoke through the middle of each filter across the trumpet holes which prevents the filter being sucked onto the end of the trumpet.

However, might get back to you Terry when I have sussed out the size of the KN relative to the hole I already have in the bonnet.

Thanks

Liam
