Simon Hoskins
Is the Type 9 Gearbox rubber mount supplied by Westfield as used by Ford on the Sierra, ie. Can I just get one from my local Ford dealer ? Cheers
stu999
Nope. The Sierra one is rivetted to the cross member which is subsequently bolted to the floorpan. IIRC it is actually a Mk2 Escort item, but I could be wrong. HTH Stu.
Neil Purdie
I still haven't worked out what TYPE of box is fitted to my car. Mk2 Escort RS2000 4-speed box, but the gearbox mount is from Cortina Mk2/3, 67>76. This fits my 89 SEI car but I will be willing to Update my parts list if yours needs something different. Let me know. Neil
John Loudon - Sponsorship Liaison
I have only found Westfield sell this particular mounting. When I asked about its origin at the factory, I was advised that it was from some kind of Anglia. Its not from an Escort as far as I know. Apparently Westfield have them specially made, but try finding an Anglia spares specialist and checking if its the same with them.
