Wel I did see 1966 final live so you can imagine my thoughts today

Yes we scored a second disallowed goal but we have underperformed from the start of the competition. If I could not organise a better defence than we had with fullbacks nowhere to be seen then I give up. Most pub teams would have bollocked their defece for such simple errors and total lack of organisation. as for Rooney being one of the best players in the world then I am speechless!

thank god we dont need to watch any more tortureand listen to cappello saying we played well.....which game was he watching?

Being brought up to watch and play rugby I have had no interest in football but I have to watch England because my wife and daughter love it, would have been better off taking the car for a spin, and Rooney he is probably thinking how to pay his ex manager the 40 million he has to pay him after loosing his court battle.

The performance was dire, but that disallowed goal just put me off footie full stop.  Billions spent and one man, Slack Bladder, stops instant replay technology for absolutely no good reason at all.  I defy anyone to watch that goal that never was and say instant replay has no place in the game.  Pathetic.

At least the USA didn't disgrace themselves the way these overpaid posstots did.

I don't follow football at all. Mostly because from what I can see the vast majority of players are thick, lazy, prima donna's, who despite knowing full well are role models for young children every where still act like children.

As the the over paid ******s who play for England, well I'd sack the lot of them and let a bunch a real players who want to play for England, rather than for themselves.

As a side though, England haven't won the World Cup since 1966. In that time there have been numerous players and managers, none of which have produce a result. What hasn't changed in all the time? The system. I think the FA are more to blame than any other factor.

But, on the up side, at least the country can return to normal again for another 4 years...

Before you ask, I didn’t watch it but the outcome was what I expected.

Someone needs to manage our team.  If I was the Manager, they would s**t themselves as I would pay on results and not who has the best tattoo, the fastest car or the best WAG.

Football is Jack s**t in this country but nobody seems to realise.

The players get paid a nominal amount for playing for their country - most of which donate their wage to charity.
