I was in M&P (mail order motorcycle accessory dealer who I happen to live near) and they have a self cancelling gizmo for bikes which cancels after 20 flashes, but doesn't self cancel if you have the brake light on. That might solve some of the problems. Can't remember how much ...

I had a nasty accident in there involving my credit card and some

shiftlights and a gear indicator for my Megablade.
