SEiW 1600VX 16v

Westfield SEiW (Wide Independent rear suspension) first registered in 1991 on Q plate.

I purchased this car from the Westfield factory a couple of years ago (I think they had taken it as a Part Ex deal). It was originally fitted with a 1600 X-Flow motor and yellow body work which was quite faded.

ENGINE

Over the last couple of years I have got rid f the X-Flow and the body work and bought a Vauxhall 1600VX 16v which is fitted with twin Webber 40’s, it comes with DTA engine management, an SBD alloy bellhousing VX to Type 9, SBD 4-2-1 low-line exhaust manifold (this is the top of the range manifold capable of well over 200bhp applications!) standard clutch pressure plate & Flywheel just needs friction plate which can be bought from SBD. Also includes engine mounts, alternator and starter motor and is fitted with a RWD sump, Type 9 gearbox with mounts, basically everything you need to fit it to a Westfield!

CHASSIS

I have stripped the chassis and cleaned up any surface rust and re-painted, I have had the wishbones blasted & re-powder coated, fitted £500 worth of Alloy bodied/rose jointed Avo coilovers. I have also upgraded the rear uprights from drum breaks to disks (not a cheap mod!). The car is an early SEiW so comes with an escort type diff in Westfield’s own housing. Comes rolling on very nice 13” minilites with Yokohama A539 185/60R13 tyres, this combo is very light, looks great and are a good road tyre for this type of car.

INTERIOR

I have fitted a 260mm suede Momo steering wheel on a removable boss (good for security and access) all the original clocks in the original dash (a new rolled edge GRP dash comes with the car. There are a pair of Westfields own padded race seats with mountings, I have a large roll of ‘Sticky Black Plastic’ (you remember the stuff they used on Blue Peter!!!) which is for covering the interior panels. Red 3 point harnesses.

BODY WORK

I have a full set of brand new bodywork (Fixed arch tub, Scuttle, Botbox, Cycle wings (these are not new but in good un faded condition) and an FW front end which includes all the light mountings with mouldings, grills for nostrils and nose cone. Also included is a GRP Aero screen. A set of 5&3/4” headlights (Black). Black powder coated roll hoop.

Just needs a few weekends work to get it up and running but work and my new TVR are getting in the way of me finishing it so here it is a nice simple project with NO SVA / IVA to worry about.

Please feel free to call me if you have any questions. Andy 07776-147842

Car located in South Manchester obviously it will need collecting on a trailer (I might be able to arrange delivery at a cost, please phone if this is required prior to purchase!!!!)

After about £6,500 but would take £5,750 from WSCC members!

would of thought this would have been snapped up by now - especially for 5k  :suspect:

few grand to finish of and you have a very nice motor which would probably sell for profit if you so wished
