A few quick questions

I'd say go for a proper screen and hood if you've any thoughts about using the car regularly.  I've driven in the rain with the hood up and stayed very dry.  Its a bit like driving in a tunnel but its better than getting soaked.  I bet you'll use the car a lot more if you're not worrying about whether its going to rain.  Are you really going to want to arrive at work in the morning wet through ?

Also I wouldn't want what gets stuck to my windscreen stuck to my face instead.  You'll end up wearing a helmet and I can't see the point of that.  Might as well have a bike.

Sorry if this sounds poncey but I recon cars are there to be used not locked away because its too cold or wet.
