JamesD Posted October 8, 2002 Share Posted October 8, 2002 Hi All, Just plugging the Annual Weston Beach Race being held the end of this month. For those of you who don't know about it it is a huge Motocross event held on the sands at Weston-Super-Mare. 26TH - Quads and Sidecars compete in a 3hr endurance race around a hard 3mile sand-dune course, we are expecting over 350 entrants. 27TH - Solo Motocross riders only, again a harder 3mile course but with up to 800 riders expected to compete in this race. It really is a quality spectacle, if you are in or near the South West you can't afford to miss it. Entry is expected to be around the £5 mark. I have been involved every year in this event as a volunteer steward, and every year it gets bigger. VOLUNTEER MARSHALLS URGENTLY REQUIRED (get involved right in the action, not standing about, you'll be needed to help riders get up the dunes...not for the faint hearted).
