What about considering an Toyota MR2, Mazda MX5 (duratec engine in new ones) or a Honda S2000 - all good build quality good as daily drives and yet can still hoon a bit .................... o.k haidresser jokes aside .............. some cheap Boxsters out there to  :D  :D  :D ............ think I'm losing faith and the appeal with kits

if your going to get into the boxter teratory then you should consider the 3.0l Z4 or Z3. before everyone laughs the 3.0l z3 wasnt slow by anymeans and the one i used to ride in alot seemed to go round corners well.

id rather have one of those over a mx5 (new or old) aleast with the z3 hairdresser row it was fast

If we're talking about Zed's, then surely the Z3M Coupe is the choice. Plenty of boot space (by comparison with the rag tops) and plenty hoonability.

I tend to agree with Mark Stanton too. Not about the 'Yota, but S2000 and Boxster / Boxster S would be pretty good choices too.

:D All to be considered, but.....my pals have a variety of silly cars, Spence the guy who previously had the Exige now has a Z3M with an LS V8 in it, my mate Andy has a Z3M Coupe with an LS V8 in it, Colin has an M3 with an LS V8 in it, Chancey has a Cerbera with an LSV8 in it, the twins both have Escort Cosworths with LS V8's in them, Martin has an RX7 with a LS V8, and Craig has an RX7 with a twin turbo LS V8 in it.......

Can you see a theme forming here yet?    :D

(Craig has a business installing LS motors BTW!)

Tim and I are the odd ones out Tim has a 4.6 ltr TR8  and I have a girlie wee V8 Westie....  :down:

Someting a bit off the wall could be a fly amongst the V8 ointment. I'm never gonna beat 'em all on the 1/4 mile, lack of funds prevents an LS in the Westie.....

Another friend has an S2000 previously, and I have to say I loved it.....and they are getting cheaper....Hmmmmm....

Basically whatever I get for the Westie will be the funds for the new beast, give or take a few bob.

Just been out for a sunshine blat in The Westie tho', and I guess keeping it a while longer isn't the worst thing in the world either....

The guy with the GTM sent me some specs and pics and it looks niiiiice tooo...Sheesh, decisions, decisions....

Chap I know has a Griffith, he suggested a TVR too...

He got a bit shirty when I replied,

"Yeah, I'd quite like to stay with a plastic kit car...."

And its got metro wing mirrors as does the VX220, Elise, factory westfields etc . Got to say I don't mind the look of the GTM how ever If I was going to the expense of buying the V6 then I'd pick the Elise/VX everytime

I'm off down to my mate Craig's place, (the LS transplanter!), tomorrow to have a look at the finished twin turbo installation.......

My favourite LS transplant is Chancey's Cerbera tho,

Have  quick squint at this, ignore his one handed driving style but  hark at the noise and watch the sheer grunt as it squirts past everything....

We all used to race Supermoto together, but now we're all old, crocked and decrepit we've had to resort to playing with 4 wheels....    :D

Nope!

Craig Taylor,

Runs a couple of bike and car businesses, Dyno Torque, and Calsport....

Went and had a look at the progress on the twin turbo today whilst all the rest of the boys headed off to TVR power for a dyno day..... Think the dyno went t**s up tho'... ???

I know it's a mates car but the twin turbo RX7 LS is coming along stunningly....Will take some pics next time...

Right couple of beers and bed, off to meet a couple of Westie lads in Kiddiminster for a blat in the am.... :D  :D
