My boss sits opposite me and I was supposed to be doing some serious work, he wondered what I was laughing at. Quote

pete g Posted April 10, 2010 Posted April 10, 2010 adam dont get to excited you still got to register it afterwards and this can take just as long, if not longer they will want to inspect it take loads of photos and then make you wait for tax disc Quote
KerryS Posted April 10, 2010 Posted April 10, 2010 Don't depress the guy!! I had SVA on one day, taxed next day Taxing seems to be at the variable whim of the DVLA; rules? What rules? Quote

Whenever I've but a new car from a garage seems to be no more than 2 days. Quote
pete g Posted April 10, 2010 Posted April 10, 2010 have you filled in all the paper work already then you maybe lucky Quote
Mark (smokey mow) Posted April 10, 2010 Posted April 10, 2010 Seems to vary between DVLA offices. I have nothing but praise for the young lass at Ipswich DVLA who insepcted/registered my car. It was a totally painless process and within a week of sending off my registration forms it was inspected, taxed and on the road Quote
adamnreeves Posted April 10, 2010 Author Posted April 10, 2010 have you filled in all the paper work already then you maybe lucky No I haven't I should do that whilst I am waiting for the IVA then. Can anyone point me to the URL for the documents. Quote
pete g Posted April 10, 2010 Posted April 10, 2010 well if you fill it all in you may be able to go straight to them after the test Quote
spokes Posted April 10, 2010 Posted April 10, 2010 Hi Adam I think there is still a DVLA office in Oxford. I took all my paperwork following SVA and they organised an inspection for the same week. I then went back to the DVLA office and had the car taxed by the following week. Good luck with test. Quote
adamnreeves Posted April 10, 2010 Author Posted April 10, 2010 Think I found it. I find the vosa websites a little scattered. directgov, vosa, businesslink. Anyway V55/4 here Edit: Actually that is not it, that's just a guide! Quote
adamnreeves Posted April 16, 2010 Author Posted April 16, 2010 Still nothing back from VOSA so I called them today. They confirmed they got my form which I sent in end of last month which I knew already but they called me to take payment. Its just arrived at the technical department and they said it will be middle of next week when they have reviewed it and will contact me if any issues. This is far too slow! Quote
