Setting VDO Speedo ?

Recommended Posts

Trying to set up the VDO speedo for the first time and enter the pulse reading. Following the formula in the manual I get the same result they do i.e 5073. Which should be entered on the pulse reading as 005073 (according to the manual)

But... The speedo does not allow you to set the right-most digit, it's always 0 . So should I set it up as:

005070

or 050730

or am I missing the point

I dunno,

I asked the same question and got two answers.

My first attempt (on advice) was 5030 and the speedo read up to 40.

My second attempt (on advice was some 25340 ish ?) and now the speedo reads up to 10 mph.

Help!! :durr:

Set the pulse to 005070 as this is in the right ballpark.

If you have 15" wheels and 205 x 50 tyres then 005400 is what you need.

This all assumes that you are reading the pulses from the lobro joint bolts!
