Colours

I am thinking of getting a Westfield and I am considering crimson as a colour choice. Does anybody have any pictures of a Westfield finished in crimson? I have searched the web but they all seem to be yellow ;)

As you are new to all things Westfield I will explain:

Westfield’s are graded into 8 colours in the same way Karate students are graded by their belt colour. At the start of the scale are yellow cars and these are for beginners without experience. At the other end of the grading system you have the expert vehicles which come in British Racing Green (BRG). Supra-Expert status is awarded to anyone who has won 4 or more official track days; their cars have a yellow nose cone or stripe. The full grading system is:

Yellow: Beginners who brought factory car

Lime Green: Beginners who built their own car

Blue: Driven for 6 months without serious crash

Red: Driven for 12 months without serious crash

Ivory: Competed in a recognise competition or track day

Orange: Won a recognised competition or track day

BRG: Competed in 6 or more track days winning at least one

BRG: with yellow nose: Expert driver, winning 4 or more races.

Catter*am have a similar grading system except for some reason it’s back-to-front so BRG cars with yellow noses are for beginners.

If you purchased a factory built Westfield, included into the price is 4 resprays on production of your officially stamped grading book. If you built your own car then you will have to repaint it yourself, this shouldn’t be too onerous though because most drivers only regrade their cars every couple of years.

I hope this information is useful and we look forward to welcoming you into the Westfield community.

Ho ho. We like that one.  :t-up: Would've thought lime green was below lellow tho.

Do you mean crimson like burgundy or crimson like red?

<--- There's a burgundy one there look. It's OK but I wouldn't have picked it given a choice.

Lots of em about. Lots of red ones too, come to think of it. How hard have you looked?

Black? i'm black..... oh no, i'm not classified

...err, black isn't actually a colour.

...but if it were you'd be above lime-green and below blue.

Not much help that, presumably not the right forum.

I mean crimson as in crimson, not burgundy or red. Westfield had a front cycle wing in the colour I just wondered what it looked like on the whole car.

Still, so long as you all found it amusing.

fwiw I found one on googles cached version of Terry Nightingales site but since it has been sold, he's removed the picture.

Will, thanks a lot! It does look quite good.

If you could email me a bigger picture it would be appreciated.

I was getting a bit fed up with all these arrogant assumptions..

As you are new to all things Westfield

As far as I am aware, they have done crimson for approximately two years.
